Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. I love my job, because it´s a creative way to convey emotions or tell a story. Since I was young, I am fascinated in pictures which are able to touch my soul. 3 years ago I began to educate myselfe and started gaining experience by studying books, visting workshops, asking colleagues for their advice and last not least learning by trial and error ;) The main challenge, when I started was, to find out what kind of pictures I want to take. When you start taking a serious look at the world of Photography, you may feel completely overwhelmed about all the great artists and their work. So probably it needs its time to know where you want to go. Now I continuing my education and steadily developing my abilities further. What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? "The path is the goal". I don´t like doing a lot of planning. Life taught me, that every day is giving rise to new opportunities. Nevertheless I love to pass on my experience and my knowledge, and therefore I am planning to create some tutorials. This will be my next goal ;) Beside this I will also continue learning and experimenting. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? There is one golden rule: Treat other people as you want to be treated yourself (or as they deserve) ;) I am very patient and I attach importance of a pleasant working atmosphere. Good mood on the set is very important for taking good pictures. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I would not let myself become intimidated that easy. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My heros are my family and friends. They helped and supported me, even I didn´t believe in myself. How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? First I didn´t! I thought there is so much information I can get for free at Youtube or similar sources. But very soon I found out, that the major disadvantage of this option is, that you don´t have the possibility to ask somebody if you have any enquiries. So I think it is very useful to visit workshops/education courses. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? First: Love what you do! You will never be good enough if you just do it for money, fame or what else. Than never stop learning. Keep interested and "think outside the box". Meet and work with a rich variety of people with the same interests to benefit from each other's experiences. And be patient!
