"BE YOU WHO ARE, don't ever let anyone belittle you or your art!"

Model Citizen Media provides a platform to recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.

Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. I'm from a country where freedom of expression is frowned upon (Venezuela) I had to leave it and move here to France in order to pursue my dreams of being a model and designer which I'm so passionate about, and even though emigrating is difficult I live with a mindset of fighting for what you believe in and having no regrets! What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? While I'm studying I want to work as a model due to the fact it is something I'm passionate about, I'd love to be able to walk on some of the biggest runways, one of my favorites has always been Balmain, I'd also love to have the opportunity to showcase my designing abilities to people in the fashion industry and receive any type of feedback I can! My mind is set on doing things that are unique and not usually seen, one of my goals is to use the money I earn and help my country that is going through one of the toughest times in its history. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I've always been the type of person that enjoys receiving people's opinions on anything, I love debating different topics! I'm a taurus so I'd like to think patience is one of my virtues since I always want everything done correctly, I'm also a very extroverted person who loves talking and getting to know anyone which has made me an extremely open minded person, I'm always open to change and any situation that I'm in! If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I've been asked this question a lot and my answer remains the same: I wouldn't change a thing. I'm a firm believer in destiny, and everything happening for a reason though I've been through many tough moments in my life all of these things have made me the women I am today, and I'm very proud of who I've become! Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My mom is and forever will be my hero! I was raised by a single mother who had to manage me and my two brothers, she had to overcome the most difficult situations and teach us to never give up and believe in ourselves to achieve what we wanted in life. Everything I am today is because of her, I will never doubt nor forget that she is the reason I am where I am How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? I took courses of applied arts! I have a deep love for any type of art and I find it extremely necessary in some cases! In these classes we were taught that art is anything from drawing to painting or making clay pots, I feel like I really learned and it allows me to view life in a different perspective since I can now appreciate every detail there is in everything! Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? Stay true to yourself, picture what you want in your head and stop at nothing to achieve it! Humans can really create anything they want if they set their mind it. Be open to change, life itself is a never-ending cycle of circumstances that will always teach you a lesson but most importantly: BE YOU WHO ARE, don't ever let anyone belittle you or your art!
