Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. I am a freelance Editorial Fashion stylist. Also I am a software engineer but I realised that even though I was great at Computer Technology, my heart always kept veering towards the fashion industry. My background has, and continues to influence my work. For me styling is not just about the clothes and accessories; it dwells deeper. It’s about the concept and how that concept is communicated. It's a beautiful bond of research, creativity, innovation and enthusiasm. What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? My long term goal is to curate designs and editorials for a leading fashion magazine. I have developed a vision of curating communicative and inspirational images through my designs and styles. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? Communicating with different people and connecting to them, always learning; always exploring; always growing. This is what I envision myself doing throughout my life. Patience is key to success! Client is my priority and their requirement is the necessity. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I would not change anything as I am proud of what I have achieved but yes, would always improve what is to be done! Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My hero is my dad who has being helping and supporting me in every aspect. In fact he is my superhero! How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? Creative education courses are cause to open my creative abilities to a higher level. I have pursued fashion styling and art direction which has helped me discover my creative sphere and develop my personality. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? Focus! Always keep a vision and POA to achieve it. If you are about to be a part of fashion industry, stay focused and never get frenzied by the glam of the industry.
