"It's all about not being afraid to put what you have out there and share it with everyone."
Model Citizen Media provides a platform to recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
Told I would never be a ballet dancer. Have worked in 6 different ballet companies since 2010.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
I haven't undertaken any modelling education... I just got lucky (right place/right time) with my first casting for Birkenstock back in 2014.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
Confidence in oneself.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
To travel and inspire people.
What do you know about advertising psychology and photography?
It's all about not being afraid to put what you have out there and share it with everyone. Some will hate you, some will love you. Thing is you just gotta believe in what you do. 100 percent. That's what counts.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
Always seeking out new opportunities I take and am open to whatever is thrown at me. One can learn and take something from every single experience.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
Vegan lifestyle. And I am a professional dancer working in Germany at the moment.
What is your dream role as a model?
To travel and inspire people all over the world. To show people that there are truly no limits, other than those we set ourselves.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
Yes to travel. And part time, as I am dancing too.
What is your most memorable experience so far?
Most memorable experience as a model was my first casting for Birkenstock. I had no idea what I was doing (I was working for dortmund ballet at the time). I had to do a happy walk and then a sexy walk. Auditions for ballet last anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days. This casting lasted 5 mins. I was certain I hadn't got the job,,, but later that night I got the email and there it was, my first ever casting success.
