Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.

Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. I am a designer and an artist because it's my genetics, it's who I am. I've always been in love with craftsmanship and all kinds of beauty. Becoming conscious of the materials I use in my work has changed my perspective on most things. From the impact we have on our environment to flat out exploitation of humans. The purpose of Queen of Light Design is to contribute to a renaissance. What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? Queen of Light Design aspires to be a lifestyle brand producing unique woman's and children's apparel, accessories and home decor. Items will be one of a kind, made to order, and ready to wear. Selling through queenoflightdesign.com, as well as, in pursuit of retail sales. The brand's first woman's apparel collection, "Raw" will make it's debut mid-June, 2017. Through this season's collection the brand intends to showcase "natural beauty" in every sense of the phrase. Utilizing up-cyclied materials and transparency in production. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I believe I am kind and patient when working with people. I feel a lot of empathy. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? It's important to listen. I don't know it all. But, I will never again make decisions that I know deep down aren't meant for me. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My mom is the example of persistance and dedication. I'm grateful for her unwavering support. She has nurtured my abilities and dreams from a very young age How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? A creative education promotes critical thinking, empathy and brings interest to a society. I am grateful for my opportunities, being exposed to it from a young age in public school to attending The Fashion Institute of Technology as an apparel design major. I believe students have been exploited by the education industry of the United States, student debt has become a crisis. I aspire to promote other resources of education. Queen of Light Design is currently creating a youtube channel that will teach draping and sewing techniques. Everyone deserves access to education and to expand their world. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? Learn as much as you can. Don't doubt your self worth, but, make sure you deliver.
