Tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about what you do, and your journey so far. I'm passionate about what I do because it's more then just Fashion to me. I enjoy the happiness I bring to people when their image takes them to another level in life or when I bring a director or producers vision to life from script to scenes. Fashion is only a small part of being a stylist there is more to it then meets the eye I've been fortunate enough to figure that out and separate myself from my peers. I'm passionate because my parents were my first clients when I was 12. The smiles I saw on their faces when I would help them pick out outfits for events they used to attend was solidification enough for me that this is my true talent as parents can be your toughest critics. I've been blessed to work with some of Hollywood's finest and get recognized for my work ethic by some of the entertainment industries veterans. My journey thus far has been a great one as its been full of experiences to take me to the next level. What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? My Goals are simple, to keep putting smiles on the faces of all my clients and those who enlist me for contracts. My clients continue to see why this is my true passion because I'm a genuine individual who dives in deep to ensure my clients receive an out of the box end result. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I'm extremely diligent in the realm of communication as I realized everyone is different however I'm consistently genuine I listen attentively to my clients there for I often surpass their expectations and add on to what they didn't expect. Being patient and friendly are a given because it comes with the trait of being a real genuine organics individual. I pride myself on setting my persona apart from others out their it comes in part from being raised in a Strict home , it builds a lot of character. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I would change leaving the fashion industry early to perusing my previous career in the financial corporate world. I followed the blue print of what society deems as being successful instead of sticking with my true talent and passion. I'd be further ahead. But I'm glad I grew through it to realize my true calling is in Fashion. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My SHEro is my Mom. She is the definition of a Queen. Even though I grew up in a Typical family (Mother, Father, My Sister and Myself) I saw first hand the things my Mom had to face and had to go through and every step of the way she kept a smile on her face . When life gave her lemons she made Bomb A$$ lemonade and when life would again give her Sour Apple's she would make some Sweet Apple Pie. My mom is the true definition of a Matriarch . Seeing my Mom be the strong woman she is contributed to who I am today my name is all I have in this world and I put my best foot forward always to ensure I'm representing the name she has given me high I'm ranks. I would be so lucky to be the woman she is. How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? Education is important to learn the business side of what you are passionate about but creativity can't be taught. One has to possess that naturally and education is the tools that allows one to nurture it and perfect your craft. Just because one loves fashion and shopping doesn't mean they would be great in certain aspects of it. I have a genuine passion for what I do as I've recognized its more then just fashion when I'm in my element, I'm able to create and enhance looks as thats the true definition of a stylist, not copy them from those that have set their own trends. The name of the industry is set the bar not duplicate the bar. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? Think outside of the box.
