"As much as certain situations hurt, I realize that they have shaped me into the woman that I am right now."

Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.

What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? I would love for our business to grow beyond the small town we are in. I want our fashion house to be well-known for creating one of a kind wedding gowns and evening dresses. The goals I have for the business is to open a small boutique where we will display all our wedding gowns and evening dresses that we hire out. I would also love to show-case our garments at expos and fashion shows, that will expose us to new clients and help us grow. I would love to increase our staff in order to cope with the amount of work coming . How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I communicate with people by giving them space to express themselves and their concerns without making them feel uncomfortable by approaching me. I have learned to become patient because dealing with clients requires patience. I am friendly when it comes to clients because I need them to feel comfortable around me. I am always open to clients' requirements, if a client to change something on a dress I do it, because the client is always right. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I don't think I would want to change anything, as much as certain situations hurt, I realize that they have shaped me into the woman that I am right now. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My mom and dad are my heroes(I know I had to choose one but I couldn't).I would not be who I am if it was not for their support, their love and their strong belief in my dreams. They have created an environment that has allowed me to believe in myself, they have stood by me through really bad situations and have never left my side. They funded my business and that has helped me reach most of the goals I had set out to achieve How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? I think creative education courses are extremely important because they allow you to think and to use your imagination. I have not taken any but I would be interested to do that Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? If you want to get far in this industry you have to have a thick skin, work hard and be committed to achieving your goals. Don't ever compare your journey to someone else's. And always believe in yourself no matter how hard it gets, you owe it to yourself to be your own biggest motivator.
