"My hero is J.K Rowling who helped to me be a better child, fighting for my aspirations..."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field? As I have said photography has a lot of opportunities and my goal on this is not only one, I have more than one to choose (of course I know I am asking for too many and if I get only one of them I will be very lucky) I would like to end working for a good mark or magazine, and have different persons working together but on different fields to create whatever we propose, and I have to say that another great dream is to work for a magazine like the National Geographic, finding unrepeatable moments in unrepeatable places. Well... how I see myself in this point to get all of these? very bad, haha... but being sincere I have not heard about anyone who started working for big magazines when they finished their studys so... if I can live working as photographer with my only 24 years old something will be doing well. How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements? I recognize that it is the part that costs me the most but in the end I always have a great time with the clients. I think if you are not working with a professional model is very important to be friendly to reassure the ambient. Of course is important to have a friendly ambient always in a job. If you had to do it over again, what would you change? I think I am very young by the moment, all things I did not do well helped me learning more things and they are very useful to grow up as photographer, is something that has to happen to everybody. Who is your hero, and how have they helped you get to where you are? My hero is J.K Rowling who helped to me be a better child, fighting for my aspirations, being humble and tolerant with different people, all those things are important and useful for everything in our lives and for everybody. How important are creative education courses? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful? I studied Image laboratory (photography) and realizing of audiovisual projects and spectacles. I have learned a lot and I think they are very important not only to know basic things, they are very important to know people too which is very useful in our world, but of course, if somebody is thinking about to choose between a course and a real job (a good job) the real job will be always the best option. Is where you are going to learn more and where you are going to transform yourself in a professional. Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry? The only thing I have to say is WORK. Work a lot, and do not think things are going to appear behind you by themselves, sometimes you will need to create your own job. And be careful with the people who want to use your inexperience and with people in the same point as you who are very negative.
