"I was bullied a lot by other people which gave me a lot of self confidence issues but modeling helped me get over it..."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
I wanted to be a model cause when I was younger I was bullied a lot by other people which gave me a lot of self confidence issues but modeling helped me get over it and has taught me to feel good in my own skin.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
I haven't attended any modeling courses I just started about a year ago and it is second to my career in the military.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
I don't think anything in specific can make you a model I think if you want to be a model you should go chase it no matter what your body type is and etc.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
I would like to continue just going up in modeling I would love to one day do some work for vogue or Victoria secret.
What do you know about advertising psychology and photography?
When I was in high school I took a lot of courses in marketing so I believe I know a fair amount.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I believe I am very friendly and patient I am a people person 110%.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
As a military member I am in extremely well shape I work out 3-4 days a week.
What is your dream role as a model?
I think as any girls a Victoria secret angel but I'm 5'5 so that's a long stretch but hey a girl can dream right.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
I think my height is a limitation for sure but I think it should be more about how good of a model you are then your height.
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
Again I'm in the military so it would all depend on my career first I think I'd be more part time and I would 100% be down to travel.
What is your most memorable experience so far?
My first shoot I was so nervous I tensed up and wasn't very flowing but I did it with a friend and a super experienced photographer so he calmed me down and was able to teach me so much in that hour session the photographer was Ty pleas his Instagram is @ty_pleas or @rychkids.
