"The most important thing is your attitude and willingness to work."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
I'm one in 2 mil (literally). I'm from a tiny country in Northern Europe with the population of 2 mil people). I was discovered at the age of 13 and been modeling ever since. Lived in London and worked all over Europe before moved to Los Angeles in 2015. Just did Nylon & Paper magazine campaign which is coming out in October/November.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
Yes I did a little bit of runway courses and also studied makeup. The most important thing is your attitude and willingness to work. It's now so much about knowing the right technique as to be in the moment and to really enjoy what you do.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
I was picked because at the age of 13 I was already 5'9 and a size 0. So I think you have to fit in some kind of standard requirements. But when I turned 18 my body started to change which also changed my niche- I came from fashion and runway to swimwear, lingerie, commercial.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
I just wanna be happy and modeling makes me happy so as long as it keeps me excited I'll do whatever it takes.
What do you know about the advertising industry?
I know a lot about it and I think I understand it. Generally speaking people like to be told what to do and it's what advertising does. It's a very powerful tool. There are many ways to influence masses subconsciously without even them realizing it.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I'm very open and friendly, most importantly I'm extremely professional and I expect the same in return. Also I'm very honest.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I exercise every day doing yoga, kickboxing and ballet. My diet is very healthy.
What is your dream role as a model?
I've done a lot of music videos and I really enjoyed it. Music is a very big passion of mine and right now I'm obsessed with G-Eazy so is love to be in his music video.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
I don't like to limit myself quite the opposite I like pushing boundaries and exploring. As long as the sound of the project excites me I'm down.
What is your most memorable experience?
I just had a photoshoot called 'the ghost images of Hollywood' and pictures were taken by 24k gold camera which was custom made in 40's for taking pictures of movie stars. There are only 4 of these in the world. It's rumored that Marilyn Monroe was photographed with it. So it was emotionally very overwhelming experience.
