"In my opinion, you have to have the desire and drive to be a model. You have to work your butt off for what you want."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
Apart from my love for modeling, I love to travel. I am always willing to pack up my things and go anywhere.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
I have taken several modelling classes through my four years of modelling. I have gained much experience and plan on taking fashion related courses in college. I also have helped teach runway and posing classes for my modelling agencies to help new models gain more experience.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
In my opinion, you have to have the desire and drive to be a model. You have to work your butt off for what you want. If you try your hardest, then you will receive the outcome you deserve. And never, ever give up.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
Ever since my very first photoshoot I knew that this is what I wanted to do. My standards for myself are high, and my goals are higher. I want to be able to inspire people with my love for modeling. Every year I try harder and harder to get to the level I want to be at, but honestly I just want to be the best model I can be.
What do you know about the advertising industry?
My sister works for an advertising agency in Cincinnati, and my mother has worked in fashion. As well as being a model, I have always loved photography and every aspect of it. I have made many close friends by networking and shooting with various photographers, and I have made relationships that will last a lifetime.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I am very outgoing and friendly. I am always reaching out to people and making connections on my own. I'm always willing to listen and be patient with any task that I am given. I tend to always be Accommodating to every client.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I exercise every day in order to stay toned and healthy. I'm always on a food plan so that I can maintain a healthy weight.
What is your dream role as a model?
My dream role is to be a traveling model. To be able to show off my skills around the world.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
As only being 17, I make sure that I am doing age appropriate work. I always do a background check on new photographers before shooting with them. And I make sure everyone knows where I stand, so that there are no problems when shooting.
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
My availability is always open. I would travel and I will work full-time. And I can work any hours.
What is your most memorable experience so far?
My most memorable experience so far was this past summer, when I traveled to Paris, France. I was able to set up a shoot with an American photographer. I was able to shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower and in many other special locations in Paris.
