"I've bartended the last 3 years, and in order to be in that industry you have to be patient and friendly to everyone that comes your way."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
I've always dreamed of being a model, I've just never made any moves towards that goal until now. I've only done a few photoshoots so far and just from this little experience I've created some beautiful pictures. I just want to keep growing from here.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
I haven't taken any courses on modelling. But I have watched numerous tutorial videos online about makeup and posing to educate myself.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
I think anyone that has the dream to be a model could if they have to heart and motivation to strive to succeed.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
My goal as a model is to be able to make a living off of modelling.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I communicate well with others. I've bartended the last 3 years, and in order to be in that industry you have to be patient and friendly to everyone that comes your way. I have a very open mind, I just don't want to shoot nude.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I would say I have a pretty healthy diet. I run and do at home workouts 3-4 days a week.
What is your dream role as a model?
My all time dream goal as a model would to become a Victoria's Secret Angel or a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
It's hard for me to answer this question. I haven't worked for anyone before. I've only done a few shoots to start building my portfolio. As far as boundaries are, the sky is the limit.
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
I would like to travel but I wouldn't be able to travel a lot. I'm a single mom so I would like to be able to commute on a daily basis or maybe be able to go out of town for a weekend occasionally with a notice.
