"I was asked to go to New York to walk during New York Fashion Week which sparked my dream again. I have now learnt the valuable lesson to always follow your dreams and take any opportunity to pursue them."

Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognise fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world. Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them - their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?

I have wanted to be a model ever since I could walk, I loved dressing up in five different outfits a day and putting mum's makeup all over my face. From at least 6 and onwards whenever people would ask me what I wanted be when I was older I would say "a supermodel". Eventually that just turned into a dream until I was asked to go to New York to walk during New York Fashion Week which sparked my dream again. I have now learnt the valuable lesson to always follow your dreams and take any opportunity to pursue them.

How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?

Modelling is important to be educated for people who are interested. From experience, I had to learn to accept being declined from agencies because I wasn't the look they were after, if I hadn't been educated about this I would have been devastated and possibly not persisted in modelling, thinking it was my fault, but luckily I was prepared for this and I learnt that you are what someone is looking for and to keep trying. I have done a course which covers cat-walking, makeup, mental health and pathways into modelling.

What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?

I don't honestly think there is anything that makes someone fit to be model. Different shapes and sizes is individuality and unique, which is what the fashion industry is all about in my opinion. As long as you are comfortable and confident in your own skin, you can do anything.

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?

I want to go as far as I possibly can go in the modelling industry, I believe gaining experience is what I need to be doing at the moment and hopefully it leads to a career.

What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography?

The knowledge I have on the advertisement industry is that the models are there to sell the products and sometimes they might have to be photoshopped or airbrushed to make them look better to sell the products.

How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?

I communicate with people by talking, email, texts and calls and social media. I believe I am a friendly and open person to talk to and I try to fit clients' requirements with whatever they want.

Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

I try to naturally eat healthy with cheats sometimes. I exercise a lot and go to the gym or run whenever I am not doing sport during the week or weekends.

What is your dream role as a model?

My dream role as a model is to be a Victoria Secret Angel. I love everything about it and the hard work they put in to be an angel.

Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request? I'm still under 18 so I would never do any explicit work.

State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?

I live a while away from Melbourne, however I am willing to travel and do work part-time or at any hours needed. If I had secure work as a model I would be willing to work full time.

What is your most memorable experience?

Definitely walking in Couture Fashion Week in New York. The photographer who took photos of me during this time was Edwin Alvarado whose Instagram is @triplebphotos.
