"Just do it! There will always be someone out there that is more talented, and that can be intimidating, but doing what you love because you love it is something not everyone can do."
Model Citizen App is the platform where we recognised fashion models, photographers, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, creative directors, bloggers, stylists, and labels around the world.Every day, we feature an individual on Model Citizen Interviews. People get to know each of them- their hopes, challenges, aspirations and inspirations in life.
Halleson Thompson has a great passion for photography, and you can tell by her works. She has attention to details and we love her style. Please read his interview below and let us know what you think?
Tell us something about yourself. What you do, passion and aspiration in life?
I'm a photographer in Atlanta. I truly love capturing small details anywhere I can. I want to capture the details of a wedding dress or the flowers in the hair of a model.
Who is your inspiration in life? How do you keep inspired?
I have photographers that I follow and love, like Dawn Charles. I love nature and use it a lot when I shoot. What is your aspiration in life? I aspire the be someone's inspiration. I want to become a better photographer with every shot and continue to spread beauty. We all make mistakes we wish we could take back.
Tell me about a time you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I haven't had any problems with clients, so far, but I'm sure that the further I get into the business I will have to be flexible to the needs of others. When you’re working with a large number of customers, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. How do you go about prioritising your customers’ needs?
I just try to listen to everyone needs and wants and make sure to facilitate as best as I can.
Tell me about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities.
Sometimes it's about speaking for people who can't necessarily speak up for themselves. I have had to make sure that the bride's needs are met when other people are trying to make things about them. Give me an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I am a very logical person, so rarely will I argue with people unless I have facts to back it up. If you have the facts to back it up, it is hard for people to argue.
Tell me about your proudest professional accomplishment.
I was asked if I wanted to be featured on this site, so that was incredible. My work with model Hunter Thompson has been featured online as well. Being recognised for these things has been an amazing accomplishment.
Give me an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I have had to get very creative with angles to make people look bigger or smaller, just using my surroundings to be taller or getting on the ground.
What was your most challenging encounter? How did you deal with it?
Sometimes you have to swallow your personality and assist someone with whatever they need! I'm a very stubborn and head strong person, so that can be difficult.
What advice could you give to the people who are reading this?
Just do it! There will always be someone out there that is more talented, and that can be intimidating, but doing what you love because you love it is something not everyone can do.
