"I have so many amazing memories! Modelling has changed my life..."
Anna was recently signed to a local agency, Czechoslovak Models, and she couldn't be more proud. She has all the expectations of a young woman, and is taking on the modelling industry with everything she has got. We think Anna shows lots of potential, and we want to find out if you do too. Please check out her photos and share this interview if you think the world needs to see her too!
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
When I was little, I was always looking at the photos of the models in the magazines, and I wanted to be just like them. Pretty, skinny, tall and successful. But I didn't realise how hard is to succeed in the modeling industry. There are about million models all around the world and only a few of them become famous top models. I'm only at the beginning of this long journey, but I hope one day I will succeed too.
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
I don't think modelling courses are very important, of course you can learn how to walk down the catwalk or how to pose in front of the camera, but the most important thing is to be confident, not be shy and have a strong personality (don't give up after first failure). I didn't attend any modelling courses.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
You have to be skinny, tall and have a memorable face. Of course there are other types of modelling (high fashion, commercial models, etc.), but if you wanna really have success worldwide, you need to meet the conditions.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
I'm only 16 years old, and I haven't done modelling for long time, so I can't talk about some big goals, but someday I would love to work for Prada, Versace, or some other famous brand and travel a lot as a model. First big win for me was a contract with my awesome agency, Czechoslovak Models.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I hope I'm friendly :D. I always make fun of people, and stuff that's around me and someone likes it, and others don't. :D
And in the modelling industry you have to be really, really patient, so this is something I'm learning since my beginnings. I'm OK with almost everything, but one thing I wouldn't do is cutting or dying my hair. Models with long and natural hair are very often preferred.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I eat normally. I eat every thing, don´t avoid sweets or Mcdonalds :D. I was always naturally skinny, but now when my body changes to a woman's body, I realised that for a model natural thinness isn't enough, you need to work on your body. So I don't exercise at all, but I will start soon. I promise. :D
What is your dream role as a model?
I don't have a specific dream role, but for example be one of Victoria secret angels would be super cool!
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
Like I already wrote, I don't want anyone to do anything with my hair (of course I mean only permanent changes).
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
I love travelling! And when it´s because of some modelling job, I'm enjoying it even more. I'm still in high school, so modelling is "only" my hobby, but I hope after my graduation, it will become my full-time job!
Tell us what's your memorable experience so far.
I have so many amazing memories! Modelling has changed my life, I can travel to places I have only dreamed of, meeting awesome and talented people, like photographers, stylists, makeup artists etc and wearing beautiful clothes! That's probably the best part! :D
