Featured Model: Dávid Szabó

"I think in this job it is very important to be patient, and friendly. Try to give honour, and give thanks to everything."

We love interviewing people from all around the world, and this time it's Hungary! David Szabo is a freelance model, who has been involved in the arts scene for a while. He is also a singer, and you can check out some of his clips through his Instagram. In his short freelance modelling career, he has been featured in some interesting advertisements, including a telecom/Spotify advertisement. We think David has lots of potential, please check him out!

Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?

My name is David Szabo. I live in Hungary which I love and find very beautiful. I think I stood in front of the camera for the first time when I was 21 years old. At the time I had a long beard and my friend was asking me why I wasn’t a model. So we started my first session, and I loved the feel. More and more people sought me, I met new people, and I loved it.

How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?

I haven’t had any professional training, but I would try it if I ever had the chance. Right now, I am just trying my best and learning during every photo shoot. I talk to the photographers, stylists, and everyone is very helpful. Maybe I’m just lucky.

What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?

Internal radiation, body and mental balance are very important. I’m a very spiritual boy, so to me it is very important. The body, mind, and soul should be balanced.

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?

I would love to be an international model. I would like a good mother agency because currently I am a freelance model, but it is not too easy. I didn’t give up, despite facing many challenges as a freelancer.

What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography?

I think the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography are very fast industries with maximum demands. Every casting requires you to prove that you are the best.

How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?

Yes sure, I think in this job it is very important to be patient, and friendly. Try to give honour, and give thanks to everything.

Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

Yes, it is very important. I think the mind, body and mental balance are very important. So I use vitamins and minerals every day, I go to yoga regularly, and I prefer the body weight workout. I try to be vegetarian but it’s very hard to me.

What is your dream role as a model?

I would like traveling a lot and talking to new people, to experience new things. I love seeing new countries, nature, and experiencing new feelings. Since my first photo shoot, this has been my dream.

Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?

I try to give the best of myself and listen to the reactions. A lot of limitations exist in our mind, but we need to be open to what others have to say about us.

State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?

I work part-time.

Tell us what's your memorable experience so far.

The experience of human goodness around me every day; it’s that simple!
