"I knew I had to give in to the calling, which led me to resign at my workplace after seven years of great career. I then took all my pension fund money and invested in my gear, studio, etc. Since then I never looked back..."
It is amazing how we get to dream during our younger days and reach it eventually. But we all know when we want something, achieve something; we all face struggles difficulties and sometimes, we need to sacrifice and leave our comfort zone. And that is where we bloom, grow and succeed. Not all the time, but through our determination and passion, no matter how we face our challenges, we will all succeed. We will all succeed.
Lungile Matyila was one of the people whom we surveyed about the interviews we had posted so far. He replied, he was very honest and sincere. He was not even asking when his interview would be posted. We checked his entry, and we knew it's time for us to introduce him to the world. But what struck us the most was his professionalism talking to people and most importantly his patience. When we start something new and want to succeed, patience is one of the things we need to acquire.
Tell us something really awesome about you?
I started photography with a Canon 1100D that I bought at a pawnshop; this was after I saw a friend's camera and it left me with sleepless nights, I knew I had to get one. It was then I had to learn all the basics of photography which taught me a lot in dealing with models and of course getting out of my comfort zone, from that point I knew I wanted to be a full-time photographer. After several months of working hard trying to improve on my shots, I knew I had to give in to the calling, which led me to resign at my workplace after seven years of great career. I then took all my pension fund money and invested in my gear, studio, etc. Since then I never looked back...
