"I want to... eventually become the face of Chanel. Slowly but surely!"
Angelica approached us around the time we started scouting, and as the saying goes, you have to start somewhere! Angelica is finding her feet in the modelling world, coming from Singapore, where the fashion industry is widely regarded as still developing. Angelica is a girl of dreams, and this is so evident in her interview below. Take a look at her test shoots and let us know what you think!
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career?
I love fashion, I like posing for the camera. I want to be dressed in the different stylish clothes and be a "doll".
How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
Well, I personally would never pay for a modelling course or studies. Your agency will provide that if they think you need it.
What do you think makes someone “fit” to be a model?
Uniqueness, confidence, good body with style, and of course, attractive to the eye.
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field?
I want to be a Victoria secret model, posing so flawlessly on the beach. And eventually become the face of Chanel. Slowly but surely!
What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography?
The girl's/boy's bodies and faces on the advertisements are never totally real. They're perfected by Photoshop and heavy lights. And of course, good makeup too. Different colours in the pictures can bring out a different mood.
How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
I communicate well with people. If they treat me with respect I will return it. I'm patient to a certain extent. But no, I don't lash out at people.
Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I eat everything in moderation. I used to be vegetarian, but I don't recommend it if you're using it to "lose weight".
What is your dream role as a model?
To be the face of a big big brand. Walking down a red carpet of some 'A-list' celebrity event.
Do you have any limitations? How do you define your boundaries when choosing to accept a modelling request?
I don't do nude projects currently.
State your availability: Would you travel? Work full-time, part time? Any hours?
I would travel, full time.
